| Hi-I started the Suzanne Somers plan, and was enthusiastic at first-I lost 9 lbs in two weeks, then stalled, then gained three back. It didn't seem to matter how I adjusted it, I just couldn't lose another ounce. So I read up on SB, and I'm much happier! It makes more sense to me (SS had lots of full-fat cheese and other fatty foods). I'm doing great- down 15 lbs. altogether. Thanks for these boards- lots of incentive and great ideas( and recipes!) |

congrats on your weight loss!! I am a former somersizer...I lost 80 lbs. and then I started gaining. I stuck with it and the scale kept going up!! Monday I am starting SB. I have about 40 lbs to lose. I have no idea why I started gaining. I have lost so well on it in the past. OH well!! Good luck on the rest of your weight loss!

Me too. I stayed with ssing for about 3 yrs. At first I lost about 20 lbs and then I started gaining it all back. No matter what I tried I kept gaining. So I went to sb and lost 14 lbs right away. I like this a lot better too.

| I tired Suzanne's diet a few years ago as an alternative to Adkis. I did not do well on it because I needed carbs. |

I tried Somersizing and stayed on it for 3 months. I lost a total of 4 pounds and then one day I just stopped losing and could not lose anymore. I wonder what the cause of that is? I have talked to alot of people who have said that very same thing happened to them.
I tried Atkins as well and was never mentally ok with it. All the fat and calories I knew I was eating made me nuts!!!! It just can't be good for you in the long run. I don't care what they say.
I have just started SB it seems the most sain to me and makes sense. |

| When I started Somersizing I did lost around 15 lbs but ended up gaining it all back after I got off the diet. I am still looking for a diet that works :( |

What I find interesting about SS is that , in her later books, Suzane herself states that she really doesn't seperate the carbs and the pro/fats any more when she eats. She has learned to eat a little pro/fats with the carbs and always include some little fat even with a high carb meal. And eat fruit w/ carbs.
(Which you may know, her first phase has you keeping everything seperate. Sounds like Southbeach to me! |

| I did sommersizing for a while and did succeed in losing weight, but soon found that I began gaining a little weight back, here and there...even though I was sticking to the plan completely. |

| The problem with Somersizing is that you have to buy all her ingredients. She's making a ton of money on it. |
