Other real good songs (and the artist that I prefer)

Go Tell it on the Mountain Mahilai Jackson
The Christmas Song (Chestnuts
roasting on an open fire) Robert Goulet
I'll be home for Christmas various
Tennessee Christmas Gatlins???

These are just a few but my all time favorite...

White Christmas by Bing Crosby

If you like your Christmas Carols done in the traditional way, I recommend Martina McBride's Christmas album. Wonderful voice and done very well, nothing fancy. If anyone has the accapella version of her Holy Night, please give me a PM as I would like to get that as a digital track.

There are a lot of Christmas songs that I like, such as O Holy Night and O Come all ye Faithfull. No one has mentioned the one Christmas song that sends me shrieking into the night. It's "Here Comes Santa Claus" by Elvis Presley. Aghhhhhhhh.

I love all christmas music, religious and non-religious, classic, contemporary, and reworkings as well! I am really entheusiastic about christmas. There are a couple exceptions. I HATE HATE HATE little drummer boy, away in a manger, and feliz navidad. It doesn't matter who sings them or what version they are.

some faves: white christmas, christmas song, marshmallow world, and Bob and Doug McKenzie singing 12 days of Christmas (beer in a tree!)

i must add that it also depends on my mood, right now i still like the classic but come the end of the month there is just too much over played and i am not as in the mood for it. i truely believe they start playing it to soon. i like to listen to it on christmas eve and chrismtas morning and that would work for me in the end if i didn't hear it any other time:)

LOL Jeff - you're cracking me up!!

I have to admit here to being a closet Christmas music lover. Yes, pretty much all of it. And while I don't drag out my Harry Connick Jr. "When My Heart Finds Christmas" album at all times of the year, I do occasionally find myself singing "Sleigh Ride" during July. *sings "Just hear those sleigh bells jingling ring-ting-tingling too..." at the top of her lungs* Weird, I know.

My DH, on the other hand, LOVES Christmas, but HATES Christmas music. Don't know why - but he doesn't even want to listen to it on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day!! Go figure.
