why can't i get any of the things in the message box to work for me???
i can't get the font color to change or the font size. and there is this line just above the message box that says, Tips: styles can be applied quickly to selected text. (ok, how and what do you click on to do that ??)do you have to do something in OPTIONS or do i have to check something in Disable???????????

I find it easier to type in the text first and then apply styles and fonts afterwards. Highlight the text you want the font or color applied to and then choose what you want to do to it. Also note, that doing this won't change anything visually on what you are seeing as you type it. It will just put "tags" around the selected text that tells the system what to do when it is displayed as a post or message. The text in your reply window will still look black and at the same size. If you want to see what it will look like before you post it, use the "Preview" button instead of the "Submit" button. Hope that helps!

Example: Here are some examples of fonted/colored text. If you click on the Quote button, you can see the difference between what you are seeing in the message and what is actually typed. The quote button, will just preserve all the tags in text format between the quote tags when you look at in the reply window. Does that make sense?

BOLD
Italic
Underline
Red Text
Large Text
Large Violet Text

End of examples.

To use the things in the message box you simply press the one that you want, then type the text, then press that button again to close it.

Yes this is true for the top line, e.g. bold, italic, underline, quote, img, etc.

However for color and font size, if you do that first, it puts both the opening and closing tags in at the same time. Then you can put your cursor in between them and start typing or you can type first and then highlight the text and then apply the color and font size tags and the system puts them correctly at the start and end of thehighlighted text Since her question related primarily to these two options, that is the response I focused on and it also works just as well for the top line of tags as well. But for pretty much all of the "top line" options, I just type in the codes as I'm going along. Like most things with computers, there are multiple ways to achieve the same result. It just depends what you use and get used to along the way.
