I can't believe I am actually posting my pics. Maybe you folks can see a difference because I sure can't. :?

This first pic was taken in March/04 a year before SB

This second pic was taken March 29th/05, and I had lost 12 pounds.

This final pic was taken on Sept. 5th/05, six months after I started SB and had lost 48 pounds.

Thanks annieq.

I really can't see a difference. I can feel it in my clothes but just can't see it.

P.S. Sorry the last 2 pics are so big. I don't know how to resize them.

Wow I can see a huge difference. Look at how baggy your pants are around your thighs, and look at how much smaller your chin/neck area is now (my favorite place to shrink! :-D ). Your waist is also noticeable now, it comes in under your breasts, and you have the beginning of an hourglass there! Be proud of yourself, and make an effort to acknowledge your successes, it's the only way you will stay motivated enough to keep having them.

Can't wait to see your next pics! Keep up the good work! :-)

I can sure tell a difference. For you, maybe the changes are more subtle since you see yourself everyday. Seeing the photos though, there sure is a difference. Keep up the fantastic work. You really are an inspiration!

Thank you annieq, Scarlette, Auntdelite, Just2BeThin, vegasbride, LegalBeagle, CarrieW and Bobbi.

Having other people say that they can see a difference means sooo much. I am only 5'2" so the weight really shows.

I have an opportunity to see my friend Mike (1st pic) on Thursday coming but I think I will wait until I have lost more and it shows more.

Mike is the person who gave me confidence in myself and got me to go out in a large crowd on my own. I have agoraphobia which makes it difficult to leave my house for anything other than work. He is my ANGEL.

I will try to post a new picture every 3 months.

There is a definite difference in your photos! I'm suprised you can't see it when you look at your pictures! Take another look... it is especially noticable in your torso. You're doing a fantastic job!

Not that you asked for any advice... but I think you should meet up with Mike on Thursday. Never miss an opportunity to spend time with the people who are special to you... especially if you don't have the opportunity to see one another very often. Mike is a friend, regardless of your size... and I'm sure he'll cheer on your weight loss and give you all kinds of compliments about how far you've come! Go give that man a hug!

I agree with SoulLips on this one. This man is your friend and sounds like a great support for you. I hope you decide to meet up with him.

Well now you two have got me thinking about going to see Mike. Phobia aside, I think I can handle the large crowds but this time when I go to see him I will be going alone and not meeting anyone there.

When I first came across Mike on HGTV Canada in late 2003 I thought he was the genuine article. So I decided to get the internet (knew nothing about computers or the net) and did a google search and came up with his website. I sent a letter to him through his forum admin. and was surprised when I got an answer from Mike saying he loved my letter and wanted to meet me. I had isolated myself for over 14 years and I knew I had to find the courage to go and meet him It was an opportunity of a lifetime for me. I went to meet him knowing that a 72 year old man that I had met on Mike's forum and his wife would keep me close so that I wouldn't panic in the crowds. This was Feb. 28/04 and my life has changed drastically since that special meeting. With Mike's busy schedule (travelling Canada making public appearances and the taping of his show) the opportunity to see him is rare.

I think I just talked myself into going to see him. (thanks for the nudge SoulLips and Auntdelite.) Mike doesn't know that I am losing weight and if he doesn't notice it won't matter (I can't tell so maybe he can't either). The friendship with him is what matters the most.

Thanks to all for your wonderful remarks and encouragement.

So, I had to go snooping around the internet to figure out who your friend Mike is. Here's what I found, he's the host of an HGTV show called Holmes on Homes http://www.hgtv.ca/HOH/meetmike.asp! He looks like a pretty solid and honest guy. It sounds like he has provided a tremendous amount of inspiration to you. If you feel like you can make the trip to go see him, please do it. Not only will you get a chance to meet up with him again, you could also boost your confidence by completing a successful trip. It is a tremendous challenge to face phobias... especially social phobias like agoraphobia. I think it's wonderful that you're tackling the barriers that have kept you from the happiness you deserve! You've got a whole sqad of personal cheerleaders here on the board. Go! Go! Go! :P

The changes you are making are incredibly powerful! Keep moving ahead!
