After over 2 months on this diet, I am really appreciating the health benefits.
Here's what I don't miss about my old way of eating:
Hearburn after high fat foods!
Feeling stuffed and uncomfortable after a HUGE meal.
Getting sleepy after eating a huge plate of pasta for lunch.
Oh yea, and of course not being able to fit into my jeans.
What about you? |

| I am only on day 9 and I already feel better. One thing I do not miss is feeling like all I could eat for lunch is a sandwich and then be starving one hour later. Eating this way makes me stay full all the time. It is really frustrating to think of all the days I ate all carbs, depriving myself and feeling like I was being "good", when in fact, I was just eating sugar!! Thanks "low fat" processed foods, for nothing!! |

Teacher,
That is funny you mention the donuts. One of the reasons I gained weight was that I was stopping by the donut or kolache place 4 days a week! I loved those sausage rolls. Now I can't even imagine eating one. Too greasy!

I was amazed to discover that I now cannot stand the taste of flavored coffee creamer in my coffee. Have been on the Beach for 4 weeks this coming Saturday and use fat-free half and half with Splenda. Glad to break that habit as I had been truly addicted to vanilla nut or french vanilla creamer with *every* cup of coffee before.
Based on the bad taste the creamer had, I was able to step far away from a weekly sugar festival at work, last week it was a massive sheet cake, this week it's fancy homemade style cookies aplenty in the break room. LOVE that Spenda, think it's made a huge difference for me. |

The number 1 thing i DON'T miss is.....
That super exploding awful feeling you get when you've just eaten a huge, carb-loaded meal!! I have now been on this diet for 19 days, and i have not once had that feeling since i've started the SBD. i love it! i always feel full and satisfied after a meal now, but never that stuffed sick feeling. and to think i used to put myself in that state fairly frequently! blech! this is soooo much better. :D |

| I don't miss that nasty, greasy, guilty feeling I used to get after the big, fatty fast food meals I used to eat all time. |

I don't miss the men's extra large Hawaiin shirts I used to wear all the time (I'm female!)
I don't miss my thighs rubbing together all the time
I don't miss kids looking at me because my boobs were so big
I don't miss my feet hurting all the time from carrying around all that extra weight
I don't miss buying clothes at the large size store
I don't miss feeling alone all the time. I now have all of you...
Thanks

| I don't miss the guilty (and tired) feeling I used to have after eating fast food. Because I live alone, I had gotten into the rut of eating fast food waayyyyy too much (about 4 times a week)... especially for lunch. I knew that what I was doing wasn't good for me and I had gotten to the place where the food didn't even taste good... but I didn't know how to change. Seems silly to me now because shifting to the SBD way of eating was relatively easy. I miss the convenience of being able to get something quick to eat... but I eat so much better and healthier now! |

I don't miss the messed up McD orders.
I really don't miss french fries. Yuck!
I don't miss poptarts (I would never have believed that.)
I don't miss watching my kids chow down on fast food.
I don't miss donuts (a whole box of krispy kremes were here three days and I didn't even sniff them!)
I don't miss potatoes/pasta/rice.
And, I know this will crush his feelings but, I don't miss the pizza delivery man (we're almost on a first name basis.) |

| I don't miss sitting at my desk feeling like the only thing anyone could possibly see was the two tires piled under my breasts(you know, the one under and the one over the waistline). |

This thread is hilarious, here's what I don't miss:
I don't miss stuffing myself with crappy Mexican food because it's the only halfway decent restaurant in our little town.
I don't miss eating my kid's leftovers; I throw them away now.
I don't miss greasy potato chips with my sandwich. I have a pickle and some fruit now.
I don't miss stuffed baked potatoes with my steak. I have mushrooms and asparagus now.
I don't miss loading up my plate and eating every scrap. I eat moderate portions now and quit when I feel satisfied.
I don't miss cake and cookies. I really don't!
Have a great day on the beach, everybody! |
