| Oh yeah . . . one more thing . . . I don't miss driving to a Weight Watchers meeting every Thursday night and paying a bunch of money just to be there! I have lost 20 lb. since 1/5/04 and haven't paid a dime for "group support." Whenever I have something good to say, I say it and someone always posts back, "Way to go!" Whenever I feel the need to gripe I can post something and someone will post back, "Me too!" I have found some of the most wonderful recipes from the folks on this forum. My meals are never boring! This forum is great! |

I don't miss my fat clothes or having to shop at Target for something cheap to wear out of desperation.
I don't miss feeling disgusted with myself 90% of the time.
I don't miss having a red crease in my stomach from way-tight waiste bands.
I don't miss insomnia, headaches and puffy eyes.
I don't miss the 15 lbs I had to part with and I damn sure won't miss the next 15 or their ugly stinkin' step-sisters when I kiss their butts out the door.
Great thread, BTW. |

I don't miss...
-Rice, pasta, breads
-Eating my kids leftover McD's French Fries
-Ordering dessert after already full on over loaded fried dinner
-Feeling like a goodyear blimp after eating
-Having no energy by 6pm
-Eating brownies and using my kids as an excuse because they couldn't eat it all and we don't want to waste any food!
-Deciding to take a nap instead of going for jog with my 11 month old
-Finding every excuse imaginary as to why I can't start a diet or any diet today.
-complaining about all those clothes that are sitting in my closet that I cannot fit!
-complaining about how I'm so fat...and blaming the newborn baby who is now almost ONE!
TO ALL THE MOMMIES OUT THERE!L: WE'VE SPENT 9 MONTHS NOURISHING OUR BODIES AND SATISFYING OUR MANY CRAVINGS, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT WE HAVE TO SETTLE TO WHAT OUR BODIES HAVE BECOME. WE CAN GET BACK IN SHAPE! :D |

Hahaha! I HATED those WW meetings! Argh!
Okay, what I don't miss:
1. Pasta.
2. Rice.
3. Potatoes.
4. Worrying about what to eat when I go out for dinner. Eating out on the SBD is SO easy!
5. My horrible lack of self-esteem. I stand up straighter now and smile more often. :)
6. Lastly, I don't miss the gas that carbohydrates used to give me. |

I just joined this forum and this was a great subject. As a new member of SBD, I already have a few things I don't miss:
-I don't miss being asleep on the couch by 8:30
-I don't miss not sleeping at night
-I don't miss the alcohol-induced bloating, dry mouth, puffy eyes, and foggy head.
-I don't miss driving through Burger King for the "hangover breakfast" of "The Number One with no cheese and sprite" then feeling guilty all day for eating that crap.
-I don't miss counting every point for every morsel of food I ate.
-I don't miss feeling desperate
-I don't miss the nausea after eating too much sugar
-I don't miss hitting the wall at 3:00 every day....
Thanks for this - it is very helpful and encouraging when I really think about how much better I feel now and the reasons why! Interesting... :D |

I don't miss being fooled into thinking I was eating healthy. I tried to eat low fat foods and good carbs before, but now I'm actually reading labels instead of the big bold letters in front that read "Low Fat", "Low Carb", "Whole Grain" etc...
This forum helps a lot with that also :)
I don't miss feeling hungry in the afternoon where my only option was something sugary from the office, just to hold me over until I got home. Now, if I do get hungry in the afternoon I have a snack with me, and it's a healthy one. :D |

I don't miss needing to eat a huge lunch just to make it to dinner without starving. Now I can pack something small and it stays with me all afternoon.
I don't miss stuffing myself with pizza so much that it hurts every time I drink a glass of water (because it made me so thirsty).
I don't miss always choosing a restaurant menu item based on how much food I can get for my money.
I don't miss needing to scarf down a bunch of chips to get rid of some hunger pangs. Now all it takes is 15 nuts or a piece of cheese! |

Well, I just got started on this diet, so technically I don't qualify but here are some things that I know without a shadow of a doubt that I will not miss:
I won't miss my ex-husband telling all his friends and mine how fat I've gotten!!
I won't miss my kid's getting in trouble because that nasty mean kid whose mother is a toothpick made fun of their mama cause she's too big!
I won't miss not being able to go anywhere for fun for fear of my sweat pants not meeting the current dress code.
I won't miss participating at karaoke for fear of being confused with Mimi on the Drew Carey Show! Or Nell Carter! Also everyone automatically would get up and leave because the "Fat Lady" definitely would have sung!

I also won't miss my size 16W Ralph Laurn capri's this summer. :o
I won't miss being embarrassed about my big rear end. (Was needing a license for it soon!)
I Don't miss My big heavy boobs stretching out every bra I own............
Or the constant search for a bra to hold them up.
I won't miss limping out of work at the end of the day or
the neverending search for a comfortable shoe to support my weight.
I won't miss swollen uncomfortable ankles. |

This is a good topic.
I definately don't miss feeling sick to my stomach after eating everything I could get my hands on.
I don't miss eating junk just because I'm bored.
I don't miss chocolate (I have never said that before or never thought I would say it, but it's true now)
I don't miss potatoes(I was never real big on them either)
I don't miss spending 50 bucks a week on fast food (Which is what I did the last few months of my pregnancy)
And I for sure don't miss feeling depressed all the time that i'm so fat and too lazy to get up and do anything about it, then I would just feel worse.
I LOVE THIS DIET! I Feel Great Now! |

I don't miss standing at my closet and not seeing anything that will "hide my fat" (like anything would actually do that)
I don't miss having gas and bloating and stomachaches from what I ate before. It must have been sugar and greasy foods because that's what I'm not eating and I feel wonderful. Funny how I eat beans now and they don't bother me.
I don't miss potatoes, or really any of the other things that aren't allowed in Ph1. I never thought I would say that on day 1.
I won't miss getting back pictures that have been developed and opening the pack and hating what I looked like in all of them. |

I can certainly relate to the closet thing! I have been late for work more in the past year (when I became a size 16, but only owned up to 14 pants) from gazing in there, taking 4 or 5 things off hangers, trying them on, looking in the mirror, then throwing them in the pile on the bed.
I finally gave in and bought some bigger clothes, and never in my life would I have thought I would have been proud to fit into size 14 jeans, but I am there. I am back into my 14's. I hope I can get to that part of the closet where I have stored the 12's before summer gets here! |

I don’t miss my tummy aches! I’ve had stomach problems since 6th grade. As a middle schooler I was drinking pepto bismal and mylanta daily.
Now the only time I feel icky is if I overeat or eat too much grease. Definitely incentive to stick to the plan.
I also don’t miss being the fattest of all my friends; or the fattest at the dept. meetings at work. |
