if this isn't proof that McDonalds I don't know what is...
my boyfriend the mcdonalds junkie hasn't had Mcdonalds in about a week. (he's not on SB i've just been cooking more at home for him)
so after a week of no McDonalds he is starting to have withdrawl symptoms
with headaches and HUGE cravings for mcdonalds.
he used to eat MD's once or even twice a day.
McDonalds is terrible.
thats all

Mcdonald's is disgusting but I do envy your boyfriend Teeners, to be able to eat that junk at least twice a day and not gain a pound I truly envy him.

Just because he doesn't gain weight, doesn't mean he is healthy. Thin people with higher metabolisms need good sound nutrition too. They just may not realize how poor their diets are because they don't immediately see the negative effects on the outside. I really wouldn't envy someone simply because they are able to poison their bodies without seeing the immediate effects.

I suppose you're right...either way I wouldn't be cramming that garbage in my mouth daily.

No wonder that man gained so much weight. He did never stop eatin, altough he already was full. Its a clear case of supernutrition, he would have also gotten fat eatin so many calories from other food.

I aint intentin to defend mcdonalds after all..I guess you can eat it in moderation combined with a well-balanced diet.

i know this post is old, but i just wanted to say i've been (in a way) addicted to fast food! the other day i had a burger without a bun from wendys and all i wanted was more more more. i think the best thing to do is to stay away from it altogether to keep the cravings for it away. I dont know what crap they put in it but there is something in there that i feel in 10 years will found to be addictive

I saw SuperSize Me, too, and I think one could make that kind of documentary about eating at grandma's house. I never ate at MacDonlad's the way Morgan Spurlock did for his documentary, but if anyone ate like that anywhere they'd see similar results. For three years when I used to work next to a MacDonald's I often ate there 7-15 times each week for breakfast, lunch, breaks, or when I went out on the weekend. During that time I was fit, active, and even lost some weight/inches. When I stopped, I felt fine -- no headaches or cravings. Ironically, it when I started eating at home more that I started putting on the weight.

Eating healthy is all about what we eat and the lifestyle we choose to live, not where we eat and who else we can blame.

Perhaps, he's not eating enough on the SBD which may give him those symptoms.

My friend works at mcdonalds..they all get 50% off...youd think that after knowing what all that junk is made of..she wouldn't eat there but no she still does. She didn't gain weight because she plays a lot of sports but she tried to quit and couldn't...they must put something in their food. Get your b/f to watch supersize me!

I used to live in Houston and some of the McDonald's there would supersize for free after 4:00 pm. It's no wonder Houston used to be the Fattest city in the nation.

I agree - just cos someonbe is thin, it doesn't mean they are healthy.

When I was a teenager I was super thin and could eat fast food every day, about 5 different chocolate bars, chips etc. ... and I still looked great. BUT I eventually ended up with really bad candida in my gut and chronic yeast infections.
