Ok, I've finally decided to post a couple of pics.
Here is me at my heaviest (235). It was taken the day I bought my Vespa scooter.
I went from 235 to 180 just by pretty much giving up eating out at restaurants. Then my sedentary lifestyle kicked in and I creeped up to 215, when I decided to start South Beach on June 27, 2004.
Here is me yesterday (205)
My friend was goofing around with a camera. The shot didn't come out so great, but I thought I'd add it anyway.
And because I have a strong ego, here is me at 180. I had some professional photos taken at that time, and I like the mirth of this one

I think your beauty comes through in all of them, a beauty of spirit and mirth that would shine no matter what the picture.
It's easy to see you're one of those "good to the bone" folks. Thanks for all the encouragement you've given me. I'm really proud of the work you're doing on your own health!
And i'd love to know more about what you're doing professionally. I keep seeing little tidbits and am trying to put it together but not sure what it adds up to. |

Yay! Thank you to all my visitors!
LG, I've always had good hair: it's definitely in the genes. Well, change that from always...I used to have an afro-puff do because it's naturally curly...and I didn't know how to care for it..so I was VERY frizzy.
Thank you got for making Frizz-Ease
LyndaB, yep, another redhead. Which explains why I'm so opinionated, but with a big heart. Thank you for calling me "hot". I'm not particularly self-confident sometimes ;)
Technoboggan, your comment brought tears to my eyes. I love the thought that I'm "good to the bone" and more importantly, that it shines through in both my posts and pictures :)
I'm a professional speaker, as well as an Internet marketer. I make most of my income through real estate and by selling information products on the Internet. Or by promoting other people's products.
I speak at my own seminars, boot camps, and real estate investors group meetings. Just yesterday I was invited to speak for the National Association of Women Real Estate Investors.
My primary focus for the next month is getting ready for a seminar. I put together the sales page for it yesterday, you are welcome to check it out here

I had a deadline last night because I was doing a telephone seminar to promote it (this is where people from all over the world call into one conference bridge line to listen to my presentation). And I'm at home on the phone in my underwear. It's kinda cool.
We (my biz partner and I) also help others learn how to be Internet business owners. At the same time I'm doing the above seminar, he's doing this one

It's in the same hotel on the same weekend. It's a stretch for us, we've never put on two events at one time...so it's a challenge.
Jess, that's probably more than you wanted to know
Stacy, yeah, I think I'm pretty large boned. And bottom heavy :D So in that picture you can't see the big hips and thunder thighs. But I do think that amazingly 180 is a pretty good weight for me. At that weight I feel curvy and not fat. My goal is for 160, but I'm not sure I'll have a whole lot of incentive to get past 180.
So I'm hoping that I can instill healthy eating habits and a love for exercise now, so when my motivation is no longer weight loss, I'll have developed a routine.
SoReady, thanks for stopping by, and for the compliment.
I feel so good from the comments from all of my visitors, I'm going to spend some times now looking at other people's pics:) |

You're simply gorgeous! You've got a lot more confidence than I do... public speaking remains one of my big fears! In grad school I learned that it was something I could do with reasonable success... but I still HATE it. You're another amazing woman here on the beach!
Your hair is amazing! I cannot believe how long and curly it is... and such a beautiful color. |

Tat2Dolfn, what a great ticker! It's beautiful.
Look at all these visitors! Thank you for the compliments one and all.
Today I started my September "Better your Best" challenge in the Fitness and Exercise Forum. It's not part of the challenge, but I decided I wanted some better before pictures.
These were taken today, September 1st. I've been on the beach for 65 days and I've lost 12 pounds. More importantly, I've learned the importance of exercise, and I now do so 5 days or more a week.
I haven't lost that many inches so far on the beach, maybe two total throughout my body...but I can feel it firming up and I'm getting stronger. My stamina has improved, and I have an inkling of what it might be like to be able to do physical stuff without huffing and puffing.
So, here are the pics :) Excuse the no make up and goofy grin. Sometimes I can be such a ham...
