I have apparently forgotten how to make the "quotes work as in "so & so wrote: then the quote.

Practice by quoting someone first. That may not make sense but what I mean is, go in and try to reply to this response I'm posting to you by hittin the "quote" button up on the right hand side. It will then put all my words in the proper format to show it as a quotation from me.
Now, once you remember that format, you can adapt it. Either by deleting some of the words you don't want to quote. Or by actually copying some words and then using the same format and brackets and you see are developed when you quote me.
