Here I am, posing in my typical "try to hide as much of me behind my husband as possible" pose. This was taken last week on vacation. I'm really, really tired of hiding from the camera.
I started the SBD at 192 pounds and I'm 5' 5".

| You carry your extra weight very well. Good luck with SB. You will love it, just stick with it. NO MORE HIDING! I was very surprised the first time I saw a picture of myself after starting SB. I said, "Wow, I don't look like a chunkster!" |

I agree with Andy'sGirl--you certainly do NOT look your weight! Very pretty!
Best of luck to you! :) |

Thank you. I've always been told that I carry the extra weight well and I've learned how to stand in pictures to minimize it. Of course, that has it's drawbacks ... makes it easy to hide behind the "oh, I don't look like I'm 50 pounds overweight" thinking. But I see it and I certainly feel it, ya know?
I'm excited about the SBD. I'm glad I found a place for support while we go through this together. |

WOW! I can only imagine how you'll be after loosing weight!
Best wishes to you! My husband started June 1 and has lost 30 lbs. He even cheated! Just remember if you cheat just jump back on as soon as possible. |

| Debi, we are similar in a couple of ways! I think we have similar body types, and also hide our extra weight well. When I told DH I wanted to lose 40-50 pounds his jaw dropped and he said, "You don't need to lose THAT much, you'd be a stick with hair!" LOL. 50 pounds just sounds like SO much, doesn't it? He thought I needed to lose only 20-25. What a sweetie. Of course, he doesn't care if I lose weight at all, except that it makes me happier to be fit, and our love life always gets better when I feel better about myself.. LOL. :o |

Sounds familiar! My husband doesn't think I should lose as much as I'm trying to ... but my goal weight is considered normal for my height and bone structure. Not low normal - just normal.
And although his words are sweet, I know that I don't feel as good as I should. I'm out of breath going up two flights of stairs. I'm embarassed to wear a bathing suit. And most important of all, I know that losing this weight and eating better will help me live a longer life where I can be around to see my children marry and have children of their own.
And yes ... it will be nice to not feel like I want the lights out at night with my husband, ya know? |
