This is me and my hubby on our wedding day just over a year ago. We were married at Sandals in St. Lucia. I've already told him that when I meet my goal weight, he has to bring me back so I can enjoy being a thin woman on the beach instead of a beached whale!

| You do NOT look like a beached whale, you look like a happy, gorgeous bride! And what a pretty dress, I love when people are confident enough in themselves to stray from the "white wedding dress" tradition. Very glamourous pic, best of luck on SBD!! |

Thank you, Bananajan!
There were lots of other brides with the traditional gowns and I kept thinking to myself, "They must be dying in that thing!" It was so hot and humid, I'm glad I went with something much simpler. |

| You were a lovely bride with a handsome groom by your side. You're right though ... have him take you there when you've reached your goal. Not to be the skinny one on the beach, but to have your picture taken once again at that same spot and to relive that moment with him. |

| Thanks for the kind words in my own B&A photo thread! And you look very lovely in your photo! We didn't get married in St. Lucia, but we did spend part of our honeymoon there at Anse Chastenet down by the Pitons and we got our open water certification there. It is still a dream of ours to go back at some point. Kids and finances have conspired against us of late. Perhaps for our 25th in 4 more years! ;) Anyway, good luck on the beach, both the South one and the ones in your future on St. Lucia!! It's a wonderful island! |

GetFuzzyFan - I LOVE your idea about getting our picture taken in the same spot!
I honestly can't wait to go back......it was the absolute best vacation/honeymoon ever! I would recommend everyone go there if they can! It's a bit expensive (because it's all-inclusive) but well worth it.
Redroxco - Ah yes, the Pitons! Absolutely beautiful. We don't scuba dive, but we did go snorkeling out there. And yes, you're right, the finances will probably keep us from going back until our 25th anniversary as well. |

I use a screensaver program called Webshots and they have pics of both Marigot Bay at sunset and the Pitons in one of their "Tropical" selections. I never get tired of seeing those pop up as my background!
And hopefully your SB goals don't take 25 years! ;) Good luck! |

| I hope I'm still sticking to the SB diet in 25 years! 2 weeks down, 24 years and 50 weeks to go! |

Thank you, Just2BeThin! From your lips to God's ears!!!
I've been fighting this weight for years and I think I've finally found the diet that's going to work for me.
Seeing everyone else's Before and After photos is helping me stay motivated, as well as reading all the posts (including yours)! :D |
