It took me a while to figure it out, too! :D
Go to www.tinypic.com. If your pic is saved on your computer, just "browse" to get in in the box. Then click "host pic" and copy whatever's in the second box down (will start with <img src="http://....). Put that into your post and the pic will show up.
If the pic is online, click "Host from URL" and just right-click on the pic and copy the properties (http://...) into the tinypic box. Then just copy the second box down into your post.

Or you can use the Img* button on the row of buttons above the text box when you do a post or reply. It bascially uses this syntax if typing it out is easier for you. (Put your cursor over the "Img*" button and this text appears directly above the post/reply text box!
"Insert image: [img]http://image_url[/img] (alt+p)"
The key is really that the pic has to be hosted somewhere on the web first. Tinypic is one good site and another popular one is the Image Schack at http://imageshack.us/ |
