One of the things that I found out when going on SB (P1) was that I have gluten intolerance. That means I'm unable to digest the protein found in wheat, rye, barley and oats. Prior to this, I'd spent the last 10-15 years having various tests done to find out what was wrong with me. Since finding I have this, my kids have all been diagnosed with this, too. Needless to say, I've been spending a lot of time on the Celiac Disease (CD) boards.

Here's why I'm posting. There is a good percentage of people on these boards that were diagnosed with fibromylagia for years and years before finding they were actually gluten intolerant.

There is a simple blood test that can tell you if you are intolerant, but you have to be consuming gluten for it to come back positive. If you are off gluten even for a week, it will be inaccurate (99% of the physicians out there will not know this.)

Anyway, just an fyi since this is something I hear a lot about.

Thanks, Dolly. I have a Q for all. I've had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for nearly 20 years. I was a part of that initial cluster group in upstate NY where the disease apparently originated. The cause is still unknown. I was treated by Dr. David Bell, who was the first one to alert the nation and CDC about this strange new virus. I'd like to know.. how many of you had a really high fever initially, along with feeling that you weighed about 500 pounds and were immobilized? Back then it was called Epstein-Barre virus. Did any of you contract the disease in another way?
