Hello All

My name is Anthony and I started SB almost three weeks ago. I'm doing pretty good now, but I started off cheating by continuing to drink beer for about the first 8 days or so. For this reason I decided to extend Phase 1 for another 4 to 7 days before moving on to a form of Phase 2. I'm thinking of adding some foods from Phase 2, but lean more towards Phase 1 for another week or so. I started at about 168lbs and I rarely get on the scale and according to my digital scale this morning I'm now at 165.5, which I find hard to believe because of my clothes and appearance say different. Instead of wearing my 36W pants I'm wearing my old 33 and 34W pants. I think I will go out and buy a new scale to verify.
I think that I'm doing very well with the diet and last week I had a beer on Monday and Saturday only. I may splurge and have a beer or two over the weekend, but I'm not sure at this point.
Well enough for now. Comments anyone?

My daily menu

Breakfast - Egg beater and egg white omelet with fat free cheese and 2 slices of turkey bacon

Lunch - Salad with one of the following turkey slices, chicken breast or tuna with fat free cheese

Snacks - Reduced fat string cheese or wedge, tukey slices and 10 almonds.

Dinner - Either Chicken, Turkey or Fish with grilled veggies or I just have a salad as listed for Lunch.

Dessert - No sugar fat free fudgesicle.

Sounds like you're off to a great start Anthony! And, yes, beer can be a program buster! ;) Be sure to check out Kimborni's FAQ pages as there is a link to a thread on P2 transitioning strategies, but the general message is to ease into it slowly, which sounds like it was your plan anyway. Only other comment is this post would get a lot more viewing if it was in one of the "regular" forums here. This one is mostly for those have technical issues with the forum and suggestions for its improvement, so it doesn't get a lot of traffic unfortunately!

Good luck and stay the course!!
