| In the past couple of weeks I've really hit an energy wall. I've been on the diet for a couple months now and I'm really pleased. However, lately I find I need to nap when I get home from work! Oh and I need one on the weekends too! Anyone have the same issues? Any ideas on conquering the tiredness? |

Been experiencing the same problem. I blamed it on menopause but now am wondering if it has something to do with the diet. I am on Phase 2 of the diet but put very little carbohydrates into it. Wondering if I should be adding more now.
Anyone else out there experiecing the loss of energy and have some ideas that may help? |

I've been on Phase II for 4 weeks now and just started feeling tired all the time--This started about a week ago. I have no energy. My DH is also on the beach with me and he says he has more energy than ever, so he can't figure out why I'm so tired. I just started taking a multivitamin every day--hoping this will help.
I'm 56 and needed to lose about 50#. I've lost 12 so far--but this is very slow. I exercise 45 minutes every day on the treadmill and yesterday I just couldn't finish--I was so tired. I'm losing about 1 lb. a week and have only added 2 carbs a day to my diet.(A piece of fruit and one slice of toast). I'm not ever hungry--which is good -- and I have NO cravings for bread or sweets anymore. So I think that this is a good way to eat for the long haul. I was just hoping that my weight loss would be about 2 lbs./week--especially with the exercise. I expected that it would slow down when I got closer to my ideal weight, but not after 12 lbs.

| I have been on SBD for 1 week and I have never been so tired in my life? Not sure if it's the lack of caffine or the diet? I exercise about 2 hours a day and it's been Extremley hard to do? Any ideas would be most appreciated? |

for those on ph 2... your problem is positively most certainly a WAY LACK OF CARBS..!!!
your now afraid of carbs.. but GOOD carbs are your friend..an re-introduce them back in your life..
when you do,,an the right ammount,, you'll be back to
normal..
for those on ph 1...

| Why don't you eat more protein like you did in Phase 1? |

I feel the same way as Merdatous. I am just about to finish up week 1 of ph1 and I am exhausted! Yesterday I came home from work and fell asleep at 2pm & slept until 8:30am this morning!! I woke up for about an 1 1/2 between 6:30 and 8:00pm but the rest of the time I was sound asleep! I haven't done that since my early college years. I am also feeling weak! I too like to work out and try to do intensive exercise and it's been very difficult! I tried to contribute my oversleeping to being up late the night before and have a long tiring week between work and grad school but I really think it might be the diet! I weigh in tomorrow morning, so hopefully this will all be worth it! :?
