I tried this for a month and couldn't stay on. It essentially forces you to be a vegetarian.
I had tried Atkins before and was so depressed at gaining back all the weight (40 pounds down, 40 pounds up) that I wanted the polar opposite. Also, it advises you to have way more fiber than is normal and causes you to have... well...
Let's just say my "emissions" probably didn't make me too popular at school. Just way too many negatives, and you always feel deprived. |

| I too have tried all the diets. I think besides this one, the weight watchers is a diet that seems balanced. The Atkins, I did that for maybe a week. I felt horrible. They say you feel better, but eating all that fat-filled foods made me sick. |

I tried the Mirkin diet and hated it! My husband was a patient of Dr. Mirkin's for another problem (not weight related) and Dr. Mirkin was the
only doctor that was able to help him (after trying many doctors and many suggestions) so he is a big fan. He bought me the book, cookbooks etc. and I gave it the ole college try. It was awful -- I felt so deprived and hungry (no fats). And because my DH and I work crazy hours we never knew if we were going to be home to eat and trying to find something appropriate in a restaurant was impossible. I am so much happier on SB. I love those good fats and am looking forward to good carbs in a few days.
