new to the diet

hello everyone
greetings from a 20 year old college student from hampton virginia. im new to the website and a little new to the diet i have been on it for days before and quit. i am so easily side tracked by potatoes and ice cream and bread. i am hoping that i can stick tot he diet with out loosing my ind. it really is a mental thing. i feel like i am restricting my self because it is so much easier to just fry some chicken or french fries or make a sandwhich. any body have any tips for sticking to the diet?

I agree with you - Half the battle is mental! The first few days on the diet I dreamed of eating muffins & bread. I tend to chew lots of gum (Extra Sugarfree) It seems to help. Good luck!

hang in there! YOU ARE GOING 2 LOVE the results! the best part is that you will watch your tummy go away! ..the first 3-4 days were misery for me! i was calling my sis everyday asking her "what can i eat??!!". i was soo frustrated. EAT UNTIL YOU ARE FULL! thats what she told me and it just clicked. i ate guacomole, leans meats, eggs, turkey sausage, pickles, tuna, mayo, seafood, peanut butter ,sugr free jjello w/ fat free cool whip---yummy--..fudgsicles.sugar free hard candies..chicken salads, beans,Fisher pecans oooh la la my fav snack, deli meats --no sweetened ones.. SADLy, you are going to have to prepare your meals..theres no frying ur foods. Drink lots of water. i got on SB after looking at my summr vacation pics at he beach----horrible---. I ate like a pig& looked like one. I went on phase I for 2 months!! it's not recommended but i wanted to lose more and fast. I lost 30 lbs!! now i'm back on it --i kept it off all this time..i never reached my goal weight soo i'll be a size 10 at least..(i'm 5'11) ...anyway...like i tell my sis "its just food!" ..YOU already know how burgers, fries taste like...so don't worry about it..
