Anyone read Body By God: The Owner’s Manual for Maximized Living
My chiropractor cousin gaev me a copy for Christmas and he's been urging me to try it.
Actually, the principals of BBG are not much different from SB - whole grains, less sugar, cut out preservatives and artificial ingredients.
Of course, he also thinks milk, pork and shellfish should be cut out of your diet too. |

| Out true source of being is by God, and He wants his children to be healthy and wise. But of course since the Fall we have been trying to be our own boss so to speak. The evil one is present everywhere. I think as a Christian I am much more aware now (age 54) of the wisdom that comes with this age and I have teenagers coming up now also. I want to be around for them. SB is a good healthy approach -- sensible eating does take determination and being set apart -- all those around you are going to say "oh, just a little more won't hurt" yet it does we all know this are we would not be here in the first place -- trying to lose the "fat" --Just my thoughts -- Have a blessed weekend. and Enjoy the abundant life -- w/o regret -- Hug your children, husband, pets, parents, grandparents, or a friend you just met. We all need encouraging today. |

I haven't read that book. But, I agree God wants us healthy and beautiful.
and strong and empowered by His spirit. eating correctly is a big part of it. sb fits that. and it doesn't hurt to not eat pork or shell fish.
I think of it like this. the foods God created are usually good. the foods man created are usually bad for us! ie: most processed foods.
Are you reading the book? Do you like it? |

| As a Seventh Day Adventist (we stick to the dietary ideals from the old testament, although I'm not originally an SDA and do eat some of these things) I know that the "no pork, no shellfish" was a no-no from the old testament and was considered unclean...now, I don't know anything about this diet, but could this be where this is coming from? |
