:D Wow! Old Grey Bob, that is awesome, truly! You look great. I love reading your posts, they always make me smile. It's great to see your success, congratulations! PS...do you have a lot of experience with dobermans? I have always liked them and have thought of getting one, but don't all that much about their temperment.

The dog in the photo is my son's dobie and is at our place more than at his. She is a 6 yo femaled and is great friends with my dog, a shepherd / pitbull(?) rescued pound mutt. They both are spade females and both dominate, so they shouldn't get along but they do. Both dogs are extremely gentle but like any large dog are oafish, (they knock things over.) The dobie overriding passion is the freesebee. She also cries and makes other weird sounds if she does not get enough loving. My son, who works home construction has taken her to a worksite a number of times if there are preteens and teenager there. The dobie, carrying the 'bee', and a 8 to 15 yo kid is a sight to behold. It is always a question who will be exhausted first the kid throwing the 'bee' or the dobie.

From a good breeder, a dobie can be a wonderful, sweet tempered, gentle and loving dog. Check with the AKC website on advice on how to select from a litter the pup with the best temperment.
