I'm not an expert on Sugar Busters by any means, but I researched both Sugar Busters and South Beach by reading the book reviews on Amazon.com before I made my decision. (The reviews of diet books are basically reviews of the diet itself.) They are both low carb eating plans based on the Glycemic Index.
What sold me on South Beach was that it seemed more up-to-date - (Sugar Busters was first published in 1995) and also the South Beach cookbook sounded yummier than the Sugar Busters one. (I know... I know...)
If you want to compare the diets, why not check out the reviews on Amazon? |

Ditto RedPanda except I wouldn't call South Beach low carb. In fact, most of what I eat everyday are carbs (heathy ones though  )

My mom did Sugar Busters a few years back. She said it's basically the same as South Beach....same initials too...lol....
