You'll do great. Phase 1 is like a cleansing of the palette. When you move to Phase 2 and can add grains to your diet, you will drool over whole wheat pasta and bread and long grain rice. These are healthful things to include in your diet and will actually satisfy you! I never thought it possible, but I enjoy whole wheat pizza more than white crust now! No I'm not joking. Really.
The book is the right way to start. Once you've read it, make sure you check out Kimboroni's FAQ sticky at the top of the page. It has a lot of nice updates and answers to most of the questions you'll have in the first 2 weeks.
I can't say enough great things about this way of eating. I'm 31 with a 2 year old son and I've gotten back to the weight I was in college. You can do this! |
