I am currently on day 16 of the diet. I have NOT eaten anything that is not on the list yet I have only lost 4 pounds. Granted 4 pounds is better than nothing, but a little frustrating at the same time. A typical day of eating for me is:
Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled (fat free cooking spray)
Lunch: tuna salad made with one tbsp mayonnaise, hard boiled egg, fat free cheddar, garbanzo beans (1/4 cup), celery, lettuce. Two slices of tomato.
Snack: Low fat mozzerella stick
Dinner: Some sort of lean meat, Veggie, Salad (egg, cheese, garbanzo beans, sunflower seeds, banana peppers, bell pepper) with dressing (0 sugars, 0 carbs), glass of skim milk (8oz)
Snack--Ricotta creme or fat free/sugar free fudgesicle
All dairy is low fat/fat free, I only snack at night maybe 3 times a week.....
1. Am I eating too many veggies??
2. Could portion size be playing a role ( breakfast and lunch are small--but dinner is larger).
3. I have not begun to exercise but have a pretty busy job.
HELP!!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My goal is to lose 30 pounds!

You may just need to move SLOWLY into P2 since you are 16 days into it and the cutover begins after 14 days anyway. The weight loss phase of this program is really phase 2, not phase 1. You may have simply maxed out what you can get out of P1 in terms of weight loss. You don't mention your starting height/weight, but if you don't have that much weight to lose, you may also lose more slowly. There are a lot of reasons why some lose more than others in P1. Although I know this is harder than it sounds, try to not focus on just the weight loss aspects of this program. It is more about making a lifestyle change to a healthy, sustainable way of eating and way of life. Good luck! |
