| Just wanted to say "hi" It's my first time here. Started SB yesterday, 2/28 and so far so good. Feel good. No cheating. Slight cravings. (I'm so addicted to carbs that I believe I have a hypoglycemic problem going on and I'm hypothyroid also) But I CAN AND WILL OVERCOME. I'm 39 (turn 40 in 2 months) and am sick of being FAT!!! I weigh 189 and my first goal is 150. I am so grateful for this site and all the people here. You will be so helpful. :D |

Welcome! Great to have you here on the beach...
If you can stay motivated for the first two weeks, you will find that this is a great way of life. I no longer think of myself on a diet, this is the way that I am going to eat for the rest of my life!!
You can do this... and this site is a great place to get help and encouragement... good luck! |

Welcome and good luck.
Dang, your present weight is my goal. I haven't weighed that since high school. Well, actually after high school on the sangria diet, but that's another story. :D
I haven't had any cravings yet. I remember when I was on Atkins last year and sometimes felt that I would kill for a bowl of Frosted Flakes, but it passed. The SBD diet seems much better in that it calls for vegetables and lets you eat some beans and grains.
I'm an EMT and a little familar with with your situation. If you're on meds, stay on them. We just covered hypothyroid in the Intermediate class.
Keep the good attitude - "I CAN AND WILL OVERCOME" - I like that. |
