A few questions!!

It's great to see how successful you've all been, I haven't started the diet quite yet, but am going to shortly. I know alot of you have seen improvement in your weight, but has anyone seen improvement in their size yet? And if so how much weight did you lose before you noticed a difference? Another question is I know alot of what NOT to eat but I'm not too sure on whats okay? A little advice would be more than appreciated! :wink: :D

Welcome and good luck on your start. I have only lost 6lbs but I feel like my clothes fit better already. I think we all lose weight a little differently so I can't say how long it will take for you to drop a size but I'd definitely think that 10lbs would do it and you could do that in a month or two.

I lost 10 pounds and can definately tell a big difference in my size. Not by the way my body looks, but mostly by my clothes. Clothes don't lie. Unless some magical elf has been sneaking into my room at night and making my clothes bigger LOL :lol:

Depending on how much you have to lose you could notice a difference in as little as a few days or as much as two weeks. Just stick to it and you'll find out for yourself!

As for foods to eat I personally enjoy salads, home made chili, quiche cups, cheeses (lowfat :D ), SF Jello, Tomato juice (warmed up - taste just like soup!), sandwich meat (lowfat :D ), ect.

Anything on the acceptable food list is fine, who knows you could even create a dish of your own!

Ashley, a good place to start with what is allowed and what is not is contained in Kimboroni's FAQ pages here. There are sticky threads at the top of most of the forums that will help you find those links, and I also keep one in the signature area of my own posts, so you can find it at the very bottom of this post as well. The two links from her P1 FAQ page that are very helpful right at first are the Updated Food Lists, and the menu planning one that mentions meal templates. Both are near the top of her FAQ page itself.

And speaking of signature areas, can you please move your link to your ticker from linking to it as your avatar and put it in your signature block? In this way it will appear UNDER your posts and not on the left side, scrunching everything over to the right. You need to make sure you capture the text in the "bbCode" block for your signature, not just link to the image though. If you aren't sure what I mean, you can review this thread: Ticker Factory Instructions

And folks seem to lose inches and weight at different rates. You may notice things fitting better before you see much weight loss or before others notice a difference. Ultimately if you can think about it more as making a switch to a healthy eating lifestyle and let the weight and inches take care of themselves over time, you may find it easier to stay with it. You can always notice the good foods you are eating! Good luck!

Ash-ley - you've gotten some good advice. I'd suggest you also get and read the book. It's a great source of info on not only what to do and how this works, but also WHY it works.
