YES! The combination of lack of sugar and bad carbs (more sugar actually) gave me a headache, too.
When I started low carb over a year ago, I got them same thing. I've found that eating beans has helped a lot.
I'm sure some of the other people who have more experience will have a better explanation, but just know that you're not alone! |

| if you cut out caffeine that can cause h/a's too. Hang in there, it gets better. |

| Try the roasted chickpeas, they are a great snack to munch on and might help smooth over some of those withdrawl symptoms. |

It's funny you posted this because at this moment I have a splitting headache and I have chickpeas roasting in the oven right now.
I have also been having at least one diet coke a day and I realized that I hadn't had that yet. So I am drinking a diet coke and waiting for my chickpeas to finish.
Hope you feel better.

I had one heck of a bad headache on the first and second days, but by day 3, I was feeling wonderful!
Today is day 4, and I have SO much energy!
Isn't it scary to think that your body actually WITHDRAWS from sugar?!?!?!? It amazed me...... |

Good luck!
I find myself "forgetting" to drink a diet mountain dew when that used to be the first thing in my mouth when I woke. Now I find the same can open at the end of the day (still full) sitting on my desk when I leave work. It's a great feeling (once I got past the withdrawl headaches). |
