Hi everyone-
i was just wondering if anyone had any good recipes that they would like to share. I purchased the cook book and are looking for new and different recipes. I love beef stew, chicken noodle soup, meatballs and was wondering it anyone had any suggestions or ideas on how to make things such as these SB appropiate. Also I was wondering if whole wheat waffles and whole wheat flour are ok? Anyone know? I found sugar free syrup and there are all other kinds of sugar free things out there now. I also have found and tasted this pasta called dreamfields pasts (it's made with wheat) look it up on the internet and let me know what you think.

Any ideas or recipes anyone has and would like to share, please post them...Thanks best of luck to you all...

There is a whole sub-forum here devoted to Recipes and Food. At the top is a sticky thread maintained by "recipelover", a regular poster here, called the Recipe Summary thread and she has organized a bunch of recipes by different kinds of major groupings. That is always a good place to start! There is no lack of creative recipes from the folks here!

Are you making or buying the whole wheat wafffles and pancakes? As long as they are 100% whole wheat flour or mixed with other whole grains or approved seed flours (like buckwheat or flaxmeal for instance) then you are fine. You do have to watch out for whole wheat products that also include enriched flours and are not really from 100% whole grain sources.

Also there has been a lot of discussions on the Dreamfield's pasta over time. Try a search (link at the top) if you want to maybe find some of the previous discussions. In general not overly SB-friendly as it is some whole wheat and a lot of other things added to boost fiber and non-digestible carbs, whatever those are. For SB, you are supposed to stick to the full whole wheat pastas. Most of their ingredient lists are very short, like whole wheat durum semolina and water and not much else. I'm sure a lot of folks do use the Dreamfield's because it tastes like regular pasta and is probably similar in GI and all and higher in fiber than regular pasta, but it is more of a "low-carb" manufactured food than a SB minimally processed type of food. YMMV...
