I am 3 days into Ph2. I lost 6 1/2 lbs on Ph1 - which I was hoping would be more as I'm a big girl who needs to lose a lot of weight!
The addition I've made to my meal plan is Fiber One cereal in the a.m. I can't eat eggs so I missed having something like this. I'm still drinking the V-8 (a small 5 oz can) with it and having milk on the cereal as well.
Do I need to eat more vegetables with my cereal (the combination sounds nasty!) I would guess that I do consume the minimum 4 1/2 cups per day. My salad at lunch makes up for that.
The rest of the day remains the same, hummus and celery sticks for snack. Lunch is usually salad and a protein. Dinner is protein and veggies. No afternoon snack usually, I eat lunch after 1pm so I'm not hungry. Dessert is SF fudgsicles & natural PB.
I'm afraid to add anything more than the cereal because for some reason, I have a hard time losing weight. I've altered my eating habits 100% over the past couple years and have not been able to lose 1 lb. So I'm skeptical that if I add too much too soon, I'm going to blow it.
In the book it says to add 1 thing each week and at the end of that week you continue to lose, add 1 more item. So that's what I'm trying. Anyone see anything wrong with that?
Thanks! |

I think you're on the right track. Adding that one item for 1-2 weeks will give you time to assess how your body's handling it and if you need to tweak (for example, I can tolerate dry cereal, but hot cereal brings on all kinds of cravings and hunger pangs). When you've got that under control, add another etc.
As for veggies in the morning - I put a handful of grape tomatoes to the side, and have them after my cereal. love those grape tomatoes! |

If you are having a V8 with your cereral, than you are getting all the veggies that you need for breakfast.
I'm in my 2nd week of P2. The 1st week I added a fruit (usually 1/2 of an apple and a piece of cheese for a snack). All was well, so the 2nd week I added one slice of whole wheat bread (had 1/2 of sandwich with a salad). So far so good. I haven't experienced any cravings as of yet. I think that what is saving me is the PB cup that I have for dessert.
It sounds like you are doing really good!!! I'm only a week ahead of you, so maybe we should keep in touch with eachother!
Hope I helped!
