Does anyone know if this is ok to eat on phase two? We went to Wendys this afternoon and I ordered it with a side salad. I just wonder if it has tons of added sugar?

| I'm sure there are some links in Kimboroni's FAQ that give some nutritional info on it. It is an allowed P1/P2 food, so while it may have some sugars added, they probably aren't a lot. You are also getting a lot of protein and fiber to balance the sugars off as well. And good that you got it with a salad. You still need the veggies! |

| I buy it all the time and keep some in my freezer. Microwave lunch! Replaces my old Weight Watchers microwave meals (BTW, It's 4 WW points). |

| I just tried Burger King's chili for the first time tonight for dinner. It was excellent for "fast food" chili....even had a nice lil kick to it. Had the side salad too....wasn't really impressed with it......the lettuce seemed almost frozen but I ate it anyway cuz I was HUNGRY  |

Burger King has chili here so I'm guessing it has it everywhere... I like Wendy's better though. BK's chili is a little watery IMO. At BK I always get the shrimp garden salad w/ ranch dressing. SO GOOD. You can get it with chicken too. The salad has fresh grape tomatoes, real shredded parm cheese, onions and big carrots (easy to pick off).
But yes they have chili, but I personally stick to Wendy's on chili-craving days :D |

I tried Wendy's Chili yesterday (yep, it's on the FAQ link under restaurant choices for P2), and I was surprised at how good it was, a little soupy, but it wasn't bad. I was just glad to have another option when I'm out rather than salad and chicken breast.
Just an FYI that seems to help me since I'm so new to SBD and especially P2 of it, but I keep a small journal book in my purse and noted all the places on the FAQ for eating out that I like and what I can get there. It's handier and much easier than relying on my memory. I've added food notes for grocery shopping and everything, plus it's easy to update and I've even taped in recipes that I print off of the board and have an easy list of ingredients for shopping. Yep, I AM kinda OC sometimes, but I really have to be to keep on track. But, it's working!!!!! |

YUM...homemade chili ..!!!
The Wendy's didn't look all that bad to me...only 18 net carbs...that's not all that bad for a meal is it? (I know..I know...we don't count carbs...but still it looked reasonable).
I just inhaled a little bowl of the Wendy's and had a small salad. Thank goodness I looked at the packet of low fat honey mustard dressing before I doused the greeens. It had more carbs than the chili !!!!!
I still think the BK chili was better....maybe they make it different in different cities...but to me the Wendy's was soupier.
All I know is it was GOOD and I'm patting my tummy and purring like a stuffed cat. |

| I was just amazed at all of the junk they toss in there, especially the added sugar and corn syrup! |

Yeah, it seems iffy, but the info in my FAQ is from the paid site, so they've done the best they can to help us find passable choices. I think if they used the full amount of scrutiny they'd like, there would be no fast food that passed. They've probably just gone with all the foods that feel like the lesser evils. |
