I don't see why not. If I were you, that'd be my only grain for the day, if you're still doing just one per day.
I put cinnamon and sweet 'n low in mine, and make it with milk.
Speaking of oatmeal... I was in the grocery store yesterday and I saw that the oatmeal I bought the previous week had been 100% natural, but there's another kind - same brand - that's labeled "old fashioned." I picked them up and compared nutrition labels because I thought I was supposed to be eating the "old fashioned" after all, but the labels are identical. The 100% natural takes only a minute in the microwave, whereas the "old fashioned" takes 5-6. I ended up with the 100% natural.
That's just me! Hope this helps! :) |

It's true that both contain 100% rolled oats, but the longer the oatmeal takes to cook, the longer it takes to digest, because it is not processed as finely. Next time get the old fashioned. |

Thanks! That's what I decided to do yesterday - I was starving. I had one serving, though I had to spread eating it over a little while. After about half, I was full. Later when I was hungry again, I went back. I mixed steel cut oats with some Splenda, cinnamon, and soy milk. It was very yummy. |
