artificial sweetner overdose?

I was wondering if it was possible for me to be sabotaging my diet by consuming so much artificial sweetner every day (lots of sugar-free Crystal Light, Sweet-n-Low in my coffee - 2 cups, Splenda on my oatmeal, SF/FF Jello or pudding, etc, etc) I seem to still be losing weight, but want to know if I'm doing anything unhealthy or anything to slow the weight loss down. Having the sugary taste has been a life-saver for me and helped me to feel like I'm not on a "diet". But, am I doing it right? Is there a daily limit on the amount?

Also, I was wondering how long it takes for a person to gain weight after they've eaten something that maybe they shouldn't have eaten. When I introduce something new into my diet, will I notice a weight gain the next day? Or a week later? How long should I wait before I deem something to be "safe" for me on the diet?

Thank you!

I'm not sure about the sweetener -- I've used a lot and hasn't stopped my weight loss. About introducing new foods: I have found that a week is good, on average. With some foods I know in a few days. The most important thing to watch out for in my case is, "Is this food giving me cravings?" That would definitely slow down my weight loss!

There is NO limit on sweeteners, you can have as much as you need for your recipes.

Everybody is different and also depends on what you have eating.
Sometimes something salty will show next day since you might retain water from the salt.

Hang in there,
