Hi All,
2 questions: what do you do if you are not hungy and it is time to eat breakfast? I had to force myself to eat this mornign and i wasn't really hungry and ended up cooking an omelet that i only ate 1/2 of.
What do you do if you don't have time to have a really good lunch? Is it okay to have a snack instead? I have a meeting at lunch time today and wont' have time or place to eat a well balanced SB lunch. |

What about fixing a fruit & yogurt smoothie for breakfast if you aren't really hungry? Take some frozen fruit, about 1/2 cup of plain yogurt, about 1/2 cup of milk, and blend it all up. Add some Splenda, vanilla extract, or SF DaVinci syrup. Then you have a nice, healthy drink that's not too filling. Don't skip, have a little something to get you going.
No time for lunch? Make some time. This is your health; it's important. Whoever called this lunch meeting deserves to be fussed at. People have got to stop work and eat sometime! Take a break before the meeting and eat. |

| Ugh, I have that same problem. HATE eating in the morning! I'll usually snack all morning long. When I get up, I'll have celery sticks with cheese, 45 min later, a fruit, 45 min later, peanuts, etc. That way I'm eating, and I'm not making myself sick. Then by lunch, I'm pretty ready to eat a meal. Or I'll have cereal in the morning and 2 morning snacks before lunch. Works for me! And as for lunch, I'd say a few "snacks" can equal a small meal, and have more snacks later. And when I say snacks, I don't necesarily mean just SBD style snack foods (cheese sticks, almonds, etc.). Heck, I consider a small side salad to be a snack sometimes. |

| thanks for your answers. I agree with snacking for breakfast, except on teh weekends, then i can enjy a good breakfast!! It's hard but being in phase 2 helps, they just had a party here at work with cake, buffalo wings, nachos, 3 bean dip, guacomole and salsa and lunch meats and i snacked on the celery and some ranch dressing (with a little guacomole and salsa and a bit of beans for good measure) i am glad to stay away from the cake!! |

i never used to be a breakfast person myself until recently when i started SBD.
Now i wake up hungry for breakfast and anticipate it as well!
What works is if u go to bed 3 hrs after u ate dinner(since u dont want food sitting in your stomch being stored as fat!) so by the time you wake up, youre stomach is empty and crying for food to be replenished!
Unless you are doing what i do, then maybe you get up WAY too early in the morning to realize your senses. heh. That is usually like me on a school day. I am so sleepy that i cant even think about food! |

chyna_doll has a good point. I was an anti-breakfast eater most of my life, and it didn't help me stay skinny!!
As soon as I lightened the evening meal by cutting out most of the starches (and being sure not to overeat), I started waking up with an appetite in the morning. Wow! That was an amazing change for me.
It's a fact that breakfast skippers are far more likely to be overweight than those who eat a proper breakfast. So come on over to the other side!
