| I have fallen of track lately and am not eating enough. I also leant my books to a frend. I was just wondering if anyone would like to post what an average daily menu would be for you, just to give me some new ideas. |

I am in p2 week 4 so I'm somewhat new to sb, but here's what I usually eat:
B: Uncle Sam Cereal with lf milk and a few berries or steel cut oatmeal with 1 tbsp unsalted, raw almond butter or eggs with lf cheese and salsa with a few berries, + small can low sodium v8 + tea + water
S: Often lf cottage cheese with splenda, cinnamon, and a few nuts (if no pb at breakfast) or sf jello + lc cheese or 1/2 apple with lf cheese (if no berries at breakfast
L: Usually raw veggies with ranch dip, some roasted turkey, maybe a few olives or nuts depending on what I've eaten earlier or a big salad with assorted veggies and chicken or fish or chili with lf cheese and a small salad or left over something including plenty of veggies
S: If I haven't yet had a day's serving, nuts and sf jello or lc cheese cubes and sf jello
D: Varies a lot. Try: Brown rice, sauteed veggies, lean meat or grilled chicken or shrimp kabobs with tons of veggies + salad or president's chicken with baked sweet potato + steamed broccoli and cauliflower or sirloin steak broiled and topped with crimini mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, and spinach + steamed veggies or salad with a little wild rice or veggie soup + salad or chili over quinoa with raw veggies or salad or grilled chicken plus sauteed veggies in ww pita with a little lf cheese or many others!
D: Ricotta cheese + vanilla + splenda with blueberries or nsa fudgesicle or peanut butter cup dessert or sf jello with sf hot cocoa or apple cider or sfff pudding or fruit of some kind
I thought I'd give you most of the options on dinner because that seems to be the meal I vary the most. This is probably because I work and can take the most time on dinner. As a rule, I eat 2 servings of grain per day and one serving of fruit, but sometimes I only eat one grain. I really let my palate decide what I am going to eat and only set upper limits for grains and fruits, but always make sure to eat enough veggies. Also, I sometimes mix in a few cups of milk and a diet rite soda. I drink tons of water all day long, however, so I can't fit many other drinks in! Hope this helps a bit. If anyone sees anything naughty, please tell me! |

Hi!
Here's some yummies that worked for me!
B: Omlette with mixed veggies and low-fat mozza cheese and salsa,
hard boiled eggs and wheat toast with an orange,
veggie sausages (made by Morningstar-very tasty and with lots of fiber) with steamed veggies from dinner,
steel cut oatmeal with berries or nuts.
L: Shrimp or salmon salad with balsamic dressing or just a lemon squeezed over the top
mexican salad (all kinds of beans mixed with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, low-fat mozza cheese, salsa, etc.)
red or green peppers stuffed with chicken salad, tuna salad (use vinegar and a touch of mustard instead of mayo), or egg salad (instead of mayo use lots of mustard-it tastes great)
Whole wheat wraps stuffed with deli meat and veggies
D: Veggie burgers (or regular I suppose) smothered in sauteed green and red peppers, onions, mushrooms, jalapenos and tomatos with low-fat cheese melted on top and a side of spicy mustard and A-1 for dipping. Just stick um on a plate and use a knive and fork-no bun required. Great with a side of steamed spinach and garlic!
Fish or chix with a dijon sauce or soy ginger sauce and steamed or grilled veggies
Whole grain pasta with fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, etc. drizzled with garlic flavored olice oil or a squeeze of lemon
S: I'm pretty standard.
Handful of nuts
asparagus wrapped in deli meat
tuna and whole wheat crackers
apple
string cheese
hummus and celery
I found that I don't feel satisified unless I have a little low-fat cheese at least once or twice a day so i put that in. I don't use much and it hasn't seem to make much difference in my weight loss.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

It's great to see what others are eating, isn't it? It helps to have suggestions, so we don't get stuck in a rut! Here's what I ate today:
*Breakfast - scrambled egg, mozzarella cheese and 2 slices of Canadian bacon on a whole wheat tortilla
*Snack - 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese with Splenda and cinnamon
*Lunch - HUGE salad (like 3 cups) with lettuce and spinach, mozzarella cheese, a chicken breast and 2 TBL of salad dressing (with less than 3 grams of sugar per TBL); sugar free jello
*Snack - 2 TBL natural peanut butter, 4 celery stalks
*Dinner - salmon with a chili spice rub, 2 cups of cooked broccoli & cauliflower, fat free/sugar free pudding
*Snack - pear
*I drink lots of water, Crystal Light, and an occasional diet/caffeine-free pop
Hope this helps! :) |

| What I do notice is that nobody seems to be drinking milk. Take it from someone with osteoporosis, milk is a very important part of your diet, especially if you are a young woman. Also, latest research has found that milk helps one lose weight. Otherwise, most of you seem to be doing very well. |
