Help! Need some encouragement!

Okay...I am ashamed to even write this, but I think if I get some encouragement, it will help me go on.

My husband and a bunch of his friends got together this past weekend and decided to make dinner for their wives for Valentines. I started with some very healthy items, such as shrimp and the salad, BUT THEN they brought out homemade cheese biscuits. OMG...I ate two of them! Then I proceeded to have some strawberry cake. I felt horrible afterwards. Well yesterday after church we decided to go eat at the Chili's that just opened in our town. You have to understand the I LOVE Chili's. I had the best intentions and got a salad, but they my Darling Husband ordered chips and queso. I ended up just stuffing myself with chip after chip. Once again I felt horrible afterwards. I have just started Phase 2 and have already fell off the bandwagon. I weighed this morning and had gained TWO of the 7 pounds I had lost. Do you guys think I should try to just flush my body out with extra water today? We got grocerries last night and I made sure to get extra veggies for the week. I decided to try to add in just some NSA lite yougurt for the next few days and then maybe add in a fruit. I am SO mad at myself and am trying to fight the urge to binge again.

Lots of water and lots of determination. I'd say to thank DF for his efforts and yummy foods, then introduce him to the SB cookbook. Sounds like he enjoys cooking and that'll give you both something good.

Ya know? I think the guilt is probably the absolute worst part of straying from the food list. It's no fun if you don't enjoy what you are eating. Try not to beat yourself up about this indiscrection, and get back on track.

I agree that drinking extra water and maybe adding a bit more exercise won't hurt. Most of all, refuse to feel like a failure. That's just so counter-productive!

I hope you don't mean that all you're going to eat for the next few days is yogurt. And, by the way, you didn't have to wait until Phase 2 to enjoy yogurt. At least, not unless the rules have changed since I did Phase 1.

I think what the men did was so very sweet. Holidays (and other events) happen. Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off and do the very best you can do to stay on Phase 2.

If you feel the need to eat more than you should, make it healthy items, veggies, SF jello, something like that. If you truly feel that this one day has really made you fall back, then maybe a few days of Phase 1 to knock the cravings out. I would definitely tell DH that this messed with your system, not that it's his fault, but it's helpful for the spouse to understand what you're going through and trying to accomplish.

Thank you all for your comments.

I meant that I was going to continue eating Phase 1 foods and add in lite yougurt and some fruit. From what I understand, you can only have plain yougurt in Phase 1, which I tried and hated. My husband was supposed to be doing the south beach with me, but he tends to cheat really bad and still lose weight! (Not fair, LOL) I am going to just keep going like it didn't happen and not stress myself out about it. I brought some SF chocolate swirl pudding to work with me today and it was really good. I think this will be my new crutch to cure those sweet cravings.

That's exactly the right thing to do! Just keep on going, you'll do fine!
