| There may be an easier way, but here is how I do it. You have to go to that page that you want to link to first. Then go up into the "Address" field of your browser and copy the entire text of the URL/Address. Then reply to the post you want to include the link in and paste the URL/Address into your reply. If you just want to embed it within a text sentence and you don't know if it will all fit on one line, click the URL button just above the text reply box with all the other formatting buttons first and then click the "Close Tags" link after you paste in the link address. This will surround the link with the proper HTML coding "" which starts the URL coding and "" which ends it. This makes any address inside those "tags" clickable, even if they wrap around to different lines. Sometimes it helps to open up a second browser window just to captuire the URL you want to paste and still have the Reply window open at the same time. Note that you will likely not appear "logged in" on the second page, but you don't really need to be just to copy the URL out of the address field. Finally, if you hit the "Preview" button instead of the "Submit" button, you can see your post as it will appear to others and see if it worked. If it didn't, there is still a post edit window lower down on the same page where you can try to correct it first. Good luck! |
