This will be the second time to begin for my husband and I. Exactly one year to the date we started SB and each lost 20 pounds, but then life took over, our youngest went to college, yadda yadda, ate junk felt gross, fed up, time to begin anew!

So far the day is going great, I'm a little "ooh I need a carb fix" but other than that, psyched to get back to work. What a good Valentine's present for us!

First I would like to say that I would KILL to be 115 pounds. Just kidding Hi...some of us just have a little more work than others.

Well it is the afternoon of day 2 and I feel like I am doing pretty good. I made a ricotta creme dessert last night with coconut flavoring and baking cocoa. I was really impressed on how good it actually tasted. I brought the leftovers with me to work today for when I get that chocolate craving. I am struggling (as usual) with drinking enough water. I really don't crave water and can't force myself to sit and drink it. I have been trying to drink it with my meals so I don't notice it as much.

I am going to try to hold out on weighing until next Monday. I don't want to step on the scales too soon and be disappointed. I think we should all post how much we lost to be motivation to each other.

How is everyone else doing on Day 2 (Day 1 for some of you) of the SB?

well, I am feeling good about the diet and bad about my supposed computer expertise. I only want one weight chart (not the blue one)and would like to keep the quote. Any advice on what to push to accomplish this?

I started on 1/31. . . This is my first post. All seems to be going pretty well so far although, I'm not really tired, but I am a bit weary. Hopefully that will pass.

yeah, I remember when we did this last year, I felt like I needed a nap every 4 hours! This time around seems a little better but then there are those darn sinus headaches with all this weird weather coming thru---foodwise, so far so good!

I started yesterday (2/1) too. Of course all I could think about yesterday was chocolate!

My biggest concern is being able to stay with this given my busy schedule. I work 10 hour days and I have an 1.5 hour commute - that's 3 hours a day on the road. That doesn't leave much time for food prep. I leave the house at 6:30 am and don't get home until 8:00 pm. I do breakfast and lunch at work, but dinner is difficult - I used to just make take-out or fast food runs on my way home, but I can't do that any longer.

Good luck to everyone.

the busy part is kind of my husband's problem too. Last time he used beef jerky, cheese sticks and pistachios and almonds, sugar free jello packs to get him throgh the tough spots. We spent a weekend making snack bags of all the stuff we could/should eat as snacks between meals. That seemed to help alot. Most drive thru's will do a bunless burger for you-that would work in a pinch..later on (after a week) he added low carb bars and continued to lose weight.

Good luck to you!

Hey texaslady,
I'm from Houston, where are you from?

I would love to join you here if I may. I started SBD on 1/31/05 and the first couple of days weren't as good as I had hoped for, food wise.

Do any of you want to share menus upon occasion to see what the others are having and to judge how we are doing? Reading in other posts I notice this happens often.

Raygrid-My schedule isn't quite as bad as yours...but close. DH and I leave our house about 6:50 every morning and get home between 7 and 7:30 at night, depending on if we have to run any errands. I have been eating a snack at about 3...another one about 6...and then dinner about 8:30. We hate eating that late at night, but at least we are eating healthy stuff. I have been snacking on sf jello, veggies, ham & cheese, and even ate some crab meat yesterday. Our Wal-Mart has started carring little packages of ham & cheese that look like lunchables minus the crackers. They are REALLY good and convient. I ate a no sugar added fudgcicle last night and was VERY impressed. It took out my chocolate craving immediately and I even felt like I was cheating!

texaslady-I think you have to go back to the website and re-enter your weight to update the tickers.

I feel like my pants are looser today, but I am sure it is just my imagination since I am just on day 3 of the diet. Anyway, the feeling has kept me going today!

Thanks jennlynmahan and texaslady.

I feel bad about eating that late too, but hopefully it won't hurt that much. What I need to do is cook ahead on the weekends whenever possible and have something that I can nuke on weeknights. I've also thought about bringing dinner to work with me, but that won't always work.

I didn't realize we could have sugar-free fudgcicles. That's a plus since I have a real weakness for chocolate.
