I'm working up to starting for the first time on February 1. I spent most of January on holidays so knew that would be a non-starter of a time to begin a new diet  .

I am also, actually 1/31 but only because it's a Monday and seems like the thing to do. I've been weaning myself from caiffene this past week and I've done pretty well on that.
Going shopping this w/e so I can get some things cooked and in the fridge/freezer for next week.

| i plan to start Feb 1. Going shopping this weekend for food. I tried this once before but got so weak and had really bad headaches. I was told this time to try a good vitamin and it wouldn't be so bad. I hope I can stick to it this time. I read the book of course but I feel like I don't know much. My trouble - I hate salad type veggies and detest eggs. Makes it tough. Maybe we can stay together and support each other. :D |

| It's good to know you're not alone. I have been trying to be more aware this week in preparation for next week. I have cut my diet cokes from 6+ to just one today. And, added a ton more water. Feels pretty good. I am trying to really pay attention to my "bad" habits and routine, so that I can be more aware come the first. For example: Today, I did not eat breakfast. Around 10:30am, or so, I decided the rest of the pint of Ben and Jerry's in the freezer was a good option  Lesson: Eat breakfast! Don't let myself get so hungry I stop caring about my choices. I do that a lot. Especially after work. And, unfortunately, I work at the Olive Garden. Oh! It's gonna be rough! :? |

Definitely good to not go it alone.
I enjoy a soft drink upon occasion but thankfully that's not my big problem. I found that diet Sprite or diet 7up is very good when you add about 1/4 to 1/2 tspn of unsweetened kool-aid to it. I especially like cherry flavor and then squeeze a piece lime. Almost as good as Sonic's cherry limeade. Diet root beer with a tablespoon of whipping cream is supposed to make a nice root beer float but I've not tried it yet.
I've come up with several recipes for lowfat lowcarb and as I try them (I'm my own guinea pig) and if they are good I'll share them and hope all y'all can also.
I've pretty much gotten myself unhooked from caffeine but can't get use to not having my regular 1/2 and 1/2. I may try some tea in place of and see how that works.
Have a great day and I look forward to reading more posts from you. Thanks for being there we all need help from time to time and I'm glad you will be there. |

| I plan on starting on Feb 1st... My weight has gotten out of control, to me at least, since I had my bilateral knee surgeries... I went from being an active person to a very sedentary type, and I'm NOT happy with the results... Especially when you have a husband that eats 3 times more than you do and still holds down his weight and wears 34's... grrrr.... |

I am going to start this venture today.
My sis lost 25# with SB. She is down to a whopping 99 lbs not even 5 ft tall. Growing up she was always a petite lil thing, a size 0 all of her teenage years, but put on the weight in 2 pregnancies. She is back to the same size she was when she graduated HS. She can not stand any form of exercise but was able to achieve her weight goals with SB, so I decided to give SB a try.
How can sisters be so different when from the same loins! My sister is like my dad's side of the family and I am like my mom's-mountain woman!
Me, well I am 5'6". Two years ago I weighed 210lbs. I did a modified Weight watchers with my sister-in-law and mother-in-law and lost 50 lbs. But I have plateaued and got really tired of weighing and counting everything. Plus I am always hungry. I have gained 10 lbs back, I am at 170 and I have got to get a handle on it before it becomes 30 or more back! I have have weight issues since i was 10.
I keep hoping for that miracle pill to take away my weight problems but in the meantime I lift weights 3 times a week and start my workouts on the treadmill walking atleast a mile. I ride my horse and take agility classes with one of my dogs. So I am pretty active but still the fat seems to like me a lot. I have also decided to bite the bullet and have hired a trainer at the gym to get me motivated again in my workouts. I have never hired a trainer before but I feel that i really need a "refresher" in my workouts. We start next week, we'll see how it goes.
I have read the book. Found the menu confusing because of the limited food plan outlined and was happy to find this website and more food options. I have gone shopping and planned.
I feel good about this! |

| Hi
|

|
Hi,
I also have made up my mind to start South Beach diet today.
I am 5'3'' and 115 lb. I was very slim 3 years ago, but unfortunately, after I gave birth to my second child, I put on weight,.
Now I hope, with the help of the diet to get back to my normal size.
