I was wondering if it is ok to drink diet soft drinks? preferably diet dr. pepper. mmmmmmm especially with vanilla! yummy!

Caffeine Free Diet Dr. Pepper has been my best friend, all during Phase 1 :P Of course, I still drink oodles of water too, but when I want sweets, I reach for my Dr. P ;)

Since I've been down this road already, I can attest to this. I did not drink pop the first time around and I'm down 40lbs with 40lb or so more to go. Well, anyways, when I started Phase One again and was stalled I was drinking 7upPlus and I still was not losing weight. Well, now I've switched back to water full-time and have lost weight again. You may want to only drink the soda a couple times a week or it could keep you from losing weight. I think the book even says that? I could be wrong.

While I was never too concerned with the caffine thing - I did avoid all carbonated beverages during the first week of P1. During the second week I added Diet Vanilla Coke to my diet - but only had one a day. I still limit myself to that now.

The rest of the time its either plain water, herbal tea or water with added Crystal Light.
