Hello!
It's Burns night here on 25th Jan, and I've bought some haggis (seems to be in keeping with what I'm allowed!) and I really want neeps and tatties with it! I know I can't have the potatoes, but am I allowed to eat parsnips, swede or turnips? Don't want to fall at the first hurdle...day one today!
Thanks |

hmmm... don't know about the haggis...or "neeps and taddies" for that matter! (actually I don't know what any of those are!! :? )
...but parsnips and turnips are ok!
Good luck! and welcome to the beach! |

Haggis is a Scottish delicacy! It's a mixture of the minced heart, lungs, and liver of a sheep or calf blended with suet, onions, oatmeal, and seasonings, boiled in the stomach of the animal.
LOVE Robert Burns!!! |

| I wouldn't think it would be allowed, because of the liver and oats. |

:( That's spoiled my Burns night! Never mind, just have to serve it up to the rest of the clan! I'll just have the vegetables then!
Thanks for all your replies ~ much appreciated! |

Parsnips are actually rated "very limited" for all phases. I don't know what they are, so I can't explain why.
Turnips are indeed fine for all phases. |
