Hey, all! I'm on day 8, P1 and just had my first weigh in and lost 8 pounds! I feel great and very proud of myself for not caving in the face of temptation. Went to our favorite bar and grill yesterday afternoon and I had diet coke while watching boyfriend eat wings and beer.
I'm wondering if anyone else is feeling slightly obsessed? I think about what I'm going to eat next constantly and about how much water I've had so far that day, whether or not I'm eating too much, etc. I'm even dreaming about this diet/way of life! While I think it's helping me stay on track right now, I don't want it to turn into an unhealthy obsession. Isn't that how eating disorders start? Crikey! |

I feel the same way! I am on day 8 of phase one and have lost seven pounds! I am completely thrilled about this, but I am constantly worrying about what I am eating and if it is allowed and how many calories I am having a day. I just posted a message in the Recipe and Food area, because yesterday I was over my boyfriends house and he made me muffins for breakfast, and I felt so bad because I could not eat them and all he was doing was trying to make me breakfast. So later on that day I thought I would have a hot dog on a plate for lunch (everything else at his house was definitely not SB friendly), and in turn someone stated that the hot dog is just as bad as eating ice cream. It's so hard sometimes, but we can stick with it. Just don't obsesse over it, because you are doing a wonderful job and you are already losing the pounds!
Congrats on the weight lose and keep up the work! |

I think a lot of people think about the first 2 weeks a lot, its the start of a new diet, the first 2 weeks are the hardest to get through so you want to concentrate on making good choices, and make sure your sticking well to the plan.
The further you go on and when your in P2, the more it turns into a way of life, you dont think about it anymore, you just do it. It becomes habit. Dont worry too much, once you get the hang of it you will requires much less obsessing LOL
Congrats on your loss! That is just wonderful! |

It is getting to be second nature, but I am still a bit obsessed. I think that is ok... I used to be obsessed with eating... now I am obsessed with healthy eating!
I stayed with friends this weekend and I forgot how much carb-heavy foods everyone else eats and how few veggies! I guess it is getting to be second nature for me!!
welcome to the beach!!! |
