I did weight watchers for a year and a half. I lost about 40 pounds but went off program and have since gained 20 back.
I am starting SB tomorrow and have started a thread for people who are starting on or around tomorrow for support and such:
http://www.southbeach-diet-plan.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26461
I've read the book and I think what I like most about south beach is that although portion control is something you should keep in the back of your mind you don't have to worry about how 2 extra ounces would affect the points value of what you're eating. Read the book, follow the list and you don't really have to keep track of anything else.
I did well on weight watchers for the first year or so but that counting and tracking just gets wearing after a while and I just couldn't imagine counting points for the rest of my life. SB sounds like I can be a little more flexible and human.
Good luck,
