| How much fat are you allowed a day on Phase 1 ? Phase 2? I might not be getting enough I dont physically count it - just what is on the diet. |

There aren't any set gram amounts, since we all have different calorie needs, but there are good fat recommendations-- 1 optional tsp at breakfast, 1 tbsp at lunch, 1 tbsp at dinner. Plus the good fats in the recommended nut serving.
You'll also have some fat that comes along with your protein choices. |

| thank you -- I didnt think there was a count - just wondered when it says 20% or 30% fat allowed - how do you get the % from grams? |

To get that, you'd have to do a calorie count for the entire day of everything you ate. Then if you know the number of fat grams you ate, you'd take that number and multiply it by 9 (there are 9 calories per gram of fat). Take the new number and divide it by the total calories for the day. That gives you a percentage of fat.
Fitday.com can do this work for you, and they even have a little pie chart to show your percentages of fat, carbs, and protein. I use it occasionally but find it unnecessary for daily use. Others find it very helpful. |
