I don't know if you are exactly doing it "right", but at least you're eating some proteins with your carbs. :D Also, you can eat the whole egg - it creates a balance of cholesterol that actually helps your cholesterol levels - so if that's WHY you left out the yolks, you don't need to. Altho' for meringues I guess you wouldn't use yolks, huh? It doesn't look to me like you're getting enuf good fats in there yet, tho'.

Have you read the book?????

Yeah, I did, but my brother took it with him back to Virginia. Darn! I'm thinking about getting another one, if I keep up with south beach. I'm hoping that I do, I haven't had the best track record on diets. Now, I have another question (You guys are probably sick and tired of me :-) ) How do you know if your body has gone into starvation mode, I'm pretty nervous about that. Are there any signs? Also, how do you get your body out of it, like, do you shock with spicy foods? (spicy stuff increases your metabolism, that's what I've heard) Is morton Hot Salt allowed on this diet? Let's see what the ingredients are:
Salt, Spices (including Chipotle Chili Pepper and Red Pepper), Sugar, Maltodextrin. Contains 2 percent or less of the following: Natural Flavors, Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (Cottonseed, Soybean), Silicon Dioxide (Prevent Caking).

Does the Partially Hydrogenated Oil ruin it? It's really a good salt, zero calories too. I use like 2-3 tablespoons of it on my brocolli (but we don't have it right now, so I haven't had it since I started south beach) Also, I haven't gotten a clear yes or no on whether Mustard is allowed. I have both types, normal and djion mustard. Well, I'll do what I always do when I end a post:
Breakfast:
6 Egg whites
36 Romaine leaves. (You know that bag of 3 romaine hearts that you can buy from the store, albertsons brand, I had one of those)
Snack:
2 Cups sugar free jello Peach Flavor
Lunch:
Bag of Green Beens (870 Grams)
6 oz Can of Tuna
Mid Afternoon Snack:
2 Cups sugar free Jello Peach Flavor
Dinner:
1 WW piece of toast W/2 tablespoons of peanut butter and slices of apple.
6 oz Can of Tuna
Dessert:
Sugar Free fudgsicle.

I know I kinda went a lot overboard on sweets today, but I had finals in school, and those are hard! I have to go back tomorrow for another day! Thanks to everyone for replying, it really makes it phenominally easier. I love this board, I'm reading the old posts on the south beach part of it, and I'm on page 60. (I skim through to see what posts i'd like to read)
