First, congrats on completing your first day!

I would however, like to add some observations:

1. If there is nothing wrong with eating dinner for breakfast then there is nothing wrong with eating breakfast for lunch. So eggs twice a day should not be a problem if you have no cholesterol concerns. Be careful though because you might get bored with them.

2. Add some veggies to breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks......! This will help fill you up and give you the healthy vitamins and fiber you need in your diet. Try broccoli or spinach in your eggs, raw peppers and cucumbers for snacks, even "mock mashed potatoes" for dinner. I believe you are actually supposed to have 1/2 cup of veggies with every meal.

3. Diet Dr. Pepper is fine for an occasional treat but try to limit your soda intake. The sodium in the Dr. Pepper and the nuts might actually cause you to retain water. Which brings me to......

4. Water, water, and more water. I hope that the water listed as part of your breakfast was not the only water you had today. Water is a very imporatant part of any diet, water helps you fell full, helps your organs work, helps you lose weight, and makes your skin look better. Try 8 8oz glasses = total of 64 oz.

5. Milk (calcium) there doesn't appear to be any milk or calcium in your diet. If you are lactose intolerant you may want to take a calcium vitamin or multivitamin with calcium.

6. Are these "soysage" links and is this sugar free or low sugar tomato sauce?

Please, don't take all of this information as a criticism and please don't be discouraged. You have taken the hardest step in a diet, making it through the first day. Actually, my biggest concern with your menu is that you might not be getting enough calories. So add some veggies, cheese, and milk to your diet.

And good luck! :D

Just a correction on this point, Janna-- there's a ½ cup minimum with breakfast, but for lunch and dinner it's a 2 cup minimum. This is really crucial or we don't get enough carbs. Your other points are all really good. Well, tomato sauce should actually be "no sugar added," not sugar-free.

Bamagirl, you definitely aren't eating enough. Please make sure that your meats are lean (sausage usually isn't lean) and that you're eating lots of veggies and drinking enough water. There's a lot of info in my FAQ that would greatly benefit you, and I also suggest reading the book so you have a better understanding of how the diet works.
