Hi Bronwyn,
I always loved your name... my sister had a friend with that name and I know a little 11 year old girl who shares it, too.
Anyhow, I just started SB and this is day 3. I already lost 3 1/2 pounds, just by exerting some control over my food intake. Without the limitations, I can end up putting something in my mouth every few minutes.
My advice is to keep yourself busy. If you can get through the first couple of days, you will hopefully stay with it. It's not too bad, really... I wasn't hungry the first day (probably because I still had so many calories leftover from the previous day!) The second day was harder...I felt anxious and chemically not quite right in the evening, after dinner. I think that I ate dinner too late was a contributing factor. Once an hour passed after dinner, and the calories hit my bloodstream, I felt better. So far, so good today, day three. 2:15 ish p.m.
Good Luck!! |

Hi there, this is my first day on South Beach, Phase 1.
So far so good - This morning I made a big pot of soup with broth, Phase 1 veggies, tofu and eggs (like egg drop soup). These were leftovers I had in the fridge and it came out very well. This was my breakfast and lunch!
For dinner I'll make cheeseburgers made of lean ground sirloin and 2% fat American cheese, with some veggies.
I think the only thing I won't adhere to is the caffeine limitations - I love my caffeine!
Other than that I'm lucky that I love all the foods in Phase 1. |
