hi everyone!
i start the spring semester in a few days and i'll still be on phase 1 for the first week. i leave my house at about 7:45 and don't get home until about 5pm.
i'm okay for breakfast and dinner, and snacks i figure i can just stuff a stick of cheese in my backpack, but what can i do for lunch?
i'm in class ALL day, with only a few 10 min breaks between classes - no lunch period.
what should i do so i don't end up skipping a meal? any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

If you have a lunch box (of coarse that is small enough to carry around all day) with some of those frozen things to keep it cool here are some suggestions:

1. Hard boiled eggs
2. Vegtables to munch on w/ dip in a small tupperware container
3. Lunch meat rolled in lettace leaves
4. Nuts
5. Celery and SBD Friendly PB
6. Celery and Laughing Cow or Hummus

I just thought of all the things that I have packed for myself this week that I could eat walking while walking around...

Good Luck and don't let yourself get hungry! You can do it!

I was on the Beach and in college for several months, and it works out just fine. Definitely get a little lunch pack and some of that "blue ice" stuff to keep your food cold. If you have several larger snacks in between all your classes, then it should make up just fine for having no lunch period. Or can you eat in class? I often ate a salad during lecture. It's pretty quiet.

thanks a lot for the advice!
no, i can't eat in class. this semester i have all small classes, so like 20-40 ppl in a classroom.
i fit all my classes into two days a week, so it shouldn't be too too bad to just cope with a few large snacks between classes. anything to keep me away from those vending machines!!!

hey hilary...
I'm right there with you! (Phase 1 Day 5) I'm at University all day, and have very little time to eat! I usually pack as much food as I pack textbooks each morning! I like to bring lots of veggies, cheese sticks, cottage cheese and sunflower seeds. I find I need something like a "concrete" lunch that will keep me going, so I like to bring a yummy tuna or salmon salad, in a tupperware container. I have access to a microwave, so chilli or taco salad comes in handy!
Good luck!
