Is anyone familiar with the proper diet menu plan for teenagers? I know their nutritional needs are different from adults. Girls are different from boys with what their bodies require.

If anyone has the answer, it would be greatly appreciated. My daughter is doing the SB with me and I want her to get her proper amounts of daily intake. She states she feels a little weak and has a headache. We have been on three days now.

If anyone has any web site referrals that would be great.
THanks!

Teenagers should start on Phase 2, not Phase 1, and should make sure to get 3 cups of skim/1% milk and/or yogurt every day. They're still growing, and need the whole grains and fruit!

A lot of people say they have headaches around day 3 or 4 of Phase 1. Make sure you're eating enough veggies (4 1/2 cups daily), include a serving or two of beans (they really help!), drink milk and lots of water.

There are several threads on here that reference the South Beach Flu - I think it's a sticky at the top of the Phase 1 page. Read up on that - I think that's what is happening to your daughter right now.
