I am on day 4, P1 and I feel like I'm hungry all of the time! I don't crave anything, but I feel hungry. My husband, on the other hand is craving anything sweet! I'm eating 3 meals plus snacks, but still hungry when I'm not eating - today I feel kind of shaky, which is the first time I've felt like this. Going to eat some FF yogurt and see if that helps.

Good luck to everyone!

i talked to my Doctor and he told me that the feelings I might be having (Flu like symptoms and headaches) may be from sugar withdrawl. Even though I did not eat alot of sweet and junk, it was in the sprite that I had in my hand at every second of the day! This shouldnt last long he said.

I am also feeling hungry at night when I go to bed. It just hits me! Today I am feeling better and I think it has passed!

Coni Glad to hear you're feeling better! My mom just went shopping for ingredients we didn't have to make some recipes. Hopefully that'll help, I'm having a hard time finding foods that a. are allowed b. don't have meat in them and c. I like.

I woke up this morning with a headache but after I had an omelet and ff yogurt I felt better. Going to make a salad for lunch (yum) and have some cottage cheese maybe. Thank God for cheese is all I can say.

I know that I ate alot more sugar than I though I was eating. I'm thinking it must be the withdrawal also. The FF yogurt helped alot. Hopefullly the 'hungries' will go away before P2 ...

I'm sure they will go away. The Dr. said your body reacts in different ways to change and these are just a few of them!

Last night I think that I was having sugar withdrawl too. It was wierd. I couldn't tell if I needed caffene, a cigarette (I quit 8 weeks ago) or a cookie. I felt like I needed something but couldn't put my finger on it. Oh well... Today has been pretty good so far. No headaches or anything. We will see what happens later.....

Although very tempting, I very excited that I haven't slipped once!!! I'm also very happy about the different foods I get to try. I spent all weekend sampling different receipes so we could be prepared for the week!

I wish I liked fish and seafood. The only seafood I like is fried shrimp, so I'm just out of luck on a lot of recipes in the book. Tonite, we tried vege-burgers instead of hamburger meat and I am so GLAD that I went ahead and put some chicken in the oven! He ate them, but I didn't care for them very much. Its great to have a place to go to ask questions and hear from others who are going thru the same things!

Hi fellow Phase 1'ers! I'm on day 7, feeling pretty good, but obsessed with what to eat and what not to eat! Someone asked me what I was doing for exercise with my diet, and I looked at them blankly - what do you mean EXERCISE! I'm so concerned with figuring out what to put in my mouth, I haven't even thought about moving my body!!

I don't seem to have cravings, headaches, or the like, but I'm SUPER anal-retentive and have a food plan mapped out for each section of the day! It makes me feel better knowing that I'm going to be eating SOMETHING in just a few hours!!

I'm a nursing Mom (like someone else on the board) of a 1-year-old (as of this coming Saturday!), but we don't nurse at night very often. At least we're already used to drinking a lot of fluids!! Make sure you keep taking your pre-natal vitamin!

I've been pretty scared to try TOO many foods - I don't want to mess up! I've been on the recipe boards, and they do a good job of specifing in what phase the recipe can be used. I'm going to branch out a bit this weekend and try the SB chocolate brownies!

Thanks for the support!

I went to a donut shop today to buy Timbits (like munchkins but from Tim Horton's) for the kids I work with and drove around with Lindt Chocolate Truffles in my car all morning long and what happened???

Nothing.

I didn't eat one little piece of anything! WOW!

Wow, Maxine! Munchkins are an invention of the devil!  They're my biggest weakness......I used to pop one after the other in my mouth, usually stopping for a couple seconds to try to determine how many = one donut, and then I would go back to eating them!!!! One time I was supposed to have a tenants' meeting at my place and I bought a box of them...the meeting was cancelled and I ended up eating them all.

I really, really admire your willpower!!!

Ooo, yay! I just found this thread.

I'm on day 4 of phase 1 and I'm feeling pretty good. Day 2 was the worst day, total flu symptoms... but in a weird way that made me feel better, like I must really be doing something. I'm also, um, peeing a lot which is kind of annoying and I wonder why, lol.

Anyway, my cravings have not been too bad. I went to the store (we have a store here called Market Street) which is full of baked goods and a made to order pasta stand and cookie samples and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

My biggest complaint is breakfast. I cann't find a breakfast food I want to eat... I am sooo sick of eggs. Barf.

This will be nice having some other ones that are in phase one with us. I look foward to this :D[/quote
