and things are going well so far. I've lost 7 pounds and haven't really been too hungry. Giving up the carbs and sweet treats has been easier than I expected!
I've been reading these boards for a while and finally decided to register!! The boards help.
I hope I'm doing everything right! One more week of P1 for me and I'm already a little bit worried about moving on into P2 which looks like a common thing from reading the boards!
Hope everyone had a great weekend and has a super day!

Congraulations.. I am just starting week 2 of phase 1 and I lost 6 lbs. I still crave sweets, but I think I always will. I love chocolate and candy.
I've started thinking about phase 2 and am not sure if I will start with adding oatmeal or fruit back in... |

| Congragulations to all. Today I am just starting week 2 of phase 1 also and I am down 7lbs..... I wish it was 70 lol. A word of advice to all of you once you have started losing and have been weighing on one scale DON'T go purchase a new one.... I have always wanted a digital scale so I went and bought me one yesterday that also measures body fat.. It's pretty neat and probably more accurate but ouch lol.. It is 7 lbs higher than my old one so. I had to way on my old one to calculate how much I have lost.. And now I can start calculating from the new scale which shows I weigh the same as when I started. arghhhhhhh On the brighter side I am glad to have not seen how high the #'s would have been on my new scale last week. Keep up the good work glad to see your all doing so well. |

| I too am also starting Phase 2 today. I weighed myself this morning and overall since my first initial 2 weeks of Phase 1, I lost 13 lbs. I snacked on an apple this morning (only half of it) and I have to say it was thee most delicious sweet item I've had in ages! |

I am also on the first Day of Week 2 in Phase 1 ... five lb. lost last week .. keep hoping the "lost most in the second week" thing is true for me. Also a little apprehensive about starting P2 next week ... this week since TOM is over trying to walk a little during the day and drink more water ...
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! |

Congratulations! To all of you...
I'm on phase 1 week 2 and have lost nothing. I feel lighter, perhaps lost inches but no pounds.
Since I have only 15 pounds to lose, maybe it will take longer. Has anyone experience the same thing? I would like to stay on phase 1 longer since I have not lost anything on phase 1.....
Any thoughts? |

I'm starting the 2nd week of Phase 1 as well; I lost 5 lbs the first week. Honestly, I'm disappointed with that loss - it sure FEELS like I should have lost more! The tempations I resisted....
BUT, then I think, "If I lost 5 lbs a week, I'd lose 20 lbs in a month - and that sounds GREAT!"
I'm wondering is I'm eating enought food? Here's what I've been having:
- 2 eggs w/ a sprinkling of LF cheese & salsa for breakfast
-some SB approved raw veggies for a snack (approximately 1/2 to 1 cup)
-HUGE salad of lettuce, LF cheese, and a breast of chicken or can of tuna w/ LF/LS dressing
-couple slices of FF turkey wrapped around a LF cheese stick for snack
-a chicken breast or sirloin steak, or 2 soy burgers, 2 cups of cooked veggies, and 1/2 cup ricotta cheese dessert for dinner
-2 cups CF hot tea / sweetner a day
Is this too much, too little, or okay?! I've been afraid to incorporate too much else in my diest, in case it's wrong!
I need guidance and support!
Amy  |

Hi CinCity-->
I just wanted to let you know that I, too, only have about 15-20lbs to lose. I'm in the middle of week 2 of P1 and as of Friday of last week, I had lost nothing. I was disappointed and frustrated. I am a potato freak. Knowing that I went a week without a potato and had NO results left me feeling moderately bitter. However, when I hopped on the scale Sunday morning for my "official" weigh in, I had lost 2.5 lbs!!! Yeah, I know it's not much, but it's better than nothing and was just enough to keep me motivated.
The best thing is not to jump on the scale every day, I'm finding. You'll drive yourself (and everyone around you) completely insane. I think my boyfriend is going to stab me in the face if I weigh myself again this week! Actually, my CATS are starting to get tired of hearing me talk about my weight. So yeah, it's over the top and it's really hard. But as we say about our beloved Red Sox, Keep the Faith. :)
It will get easier. And those of us with less weight to lose will see it come off more slowly, I think. If you think about it in terms of percentages, if someone with 100 lbs to lose manages a net loss of 10lbs, that's 10% of their goal. You and I have 20lbs to lose, so if we lose 2lbs, that's 10% of OUR goal. So it's really the same weight, proportionally. It just seems like a low number. But we'll get there. I'm shooting for 7 lbs lost by my birthday (2/5). :) |
