On the subject of alcohol, I enjoy to have a couple of drinks here and there, and I used to drink beer, but now I drink whiskey(Jack Daniel's) and Diet Coke. It has a slightly different flavor, but I like it and I don't over do it.
The issue with alcohol isn't all about carbs, it's about how the alcohol itself is digested and what it does to your body...dehydration, insulin production, etc. And with beer, it has a lot of calories, also not good.
