| I read on a thread that private messages can be viewed by anyone. I thought that private messages were just that...private. Am I wrong? |

PM's are indeed private. That said, if you were to really be nasty to someone in one, they could choose to make your PM public just by copying it and posting it into a thread. They could also choose to forward your information to a moderator.
So... PM's are private so long as you trust the party you're sending it to and don't offend them. |

ahhh...ok. thats what i thought. i just took it from the post i read that all users could access all of the PMs somehow.

Private messages can not be viewed by anyone BUT they CAN BE VIEWED by the site owner and moderators.
